The list of materials for 3D papercraft model making, is pretty short:
Cardstock: Use thick A4 paper, about 250 GSM (grams per square meter). In the U.S., try 92 lb. Higher GSM/lb. paper is tougher to cut and fold but makes the model sturdier. Just keep in mind that thicker paper may be harder to print on.
Printer: Check if your printer can handle cardstock. If not, print the template on an adhesive sheet, stick it to the cardstock, then cut and fold.
PDF Viewer: You’ll need this to view the template. Most web browsers can open PDFs, so you likely already have what you need. When printing, make sure to set the print settings to "Actual size," "100%," or "Scaling: None." This keeps the printed shapes at the correct size.
Hobby/Craft Knife: For precise cutting.
Scissors: For general cutting tasks.
Ruler: A metal ruler is best for making straight cuts and folds.
Creasing Tool: Don’t worry about getting anything fancy—a blunt knife, dried-out ballpoint pen, or anything hard enough to press a line into the paper will work.
Craft glue – ideally, one that clear-dries; quick-drying PVA (AKA wood glue) would be a dream come true.
